DIY with Cotton: Textile Jean Jacket

Welcome to my second DIY in conjunction with my friends at Cotton!

With the temperature rising but still occasionally brisk, a jean jacket is a spring outerwear essential. For this denim DIY, I wanted to punch up a vintage Levi’s jacket I picked up at No Relation vintage in the East Village, and what better way than with a vibrant global textile? I’m so pleased with the outcome of this project and have already made this my go-to spring coat.

For an afternoon exploring Chinatown, I threw this jacket over a vintage screen print tee and my favorite black cropped flares from Madewell, then topped off the look with my go-to accessories: Ray-Ban aviators, silver cuffs (mix of vintage & DANNIJO) and beat up Chuck Taylors. The tote bag is a souvenir from a trip to Amsterdam. 🙂

Head on over to Cotton’s DIY blog for instructions on how to make this jacket yourself!
