Sufganiyot aka jelly donuts are a traditional Hanukkah treat. What better way to display donuts at your next Hanukkah party than as a tower crowned with a festive tassel garland topper! So simple to create yet totally show-stopping.
This Hanukkah donut tower tassel topper can adorn dessert towers and cakes of any sort! Change out the colors depending on the occasion and this DIY works just as well for any party or holiday you please!
YOU’LL NEED:
- Omegacryl* in an assortment of festive colors – we used: Navy Blue, Water Blue, Sky Blue, Turquoise, White & Neon Yellow
- Loome tool*
- Plastic yarn needle*
- Sharp scissors
- Worsted weight acrylic yarn in white
- Wooden skewers
*Included in our Pom Pom & Tassel DIY Starter Kit!
STEP 1: Following our tassel tutorial, create mini tassels by wrapping 30 total revolutions of yarn on the narrow side of your Loome.
STEP 2: Add a wrap in an accent color to each tassel. String tassels onto a piece of worsted weight yarn or embroidery floss using a plastic yarn needle.
STEP 3: Secure string onto wooden skewers using a slip knot on each end. Skewers can be broken to be 8″ or whatever height you need them.
STEP 4: Trim off excess garland yarn and your donut tower topper is good to go!
