  • When I was 10 years old, my American uncle, aunt and little cousins were living in Tianjin, China. That summer, instead of heading off to camp like the rest of my classmates, my parents plopped me on a flight to visit them for the summer -- my first trip EVER outside the United States. Since then, travel and global culture has played a tremendous role in my life and the way I see the world, which has naturally rolled over to The Neon Tea Party.
