CRAFT PARTY FAQs
Where will my party take place?
We currently host all parties of groups of 20 or less at SewLéana sewing studio, located at 12 W South Orange Ave, South Orange, NJ, 2nd floor. (Above Bunny’s Restaurant)
For larger-scale parties/events, The Neon Tea Party can set up at your party venue of choice in Essex County, NJ & the surrounding area.
How many guests can I invite & how do I add additional guests?
For parties at SewLéana, the space can host up to 20 crafters (guest of honor + 19 guests). Please visit our events info pages for current pricing.
Your Party Booking includes 12 crafters (guest of honor + 11 guests). You may add up to 8 additional guests by purchasing “Additional Party Guests” via this link. Please complete payment for your additional guests no later than 1 week prior to your party. Thank you!
For mobile events, we can accommodate events of any size! For pricing, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your party details for a custom quote. Thank you!
What’s included with my booking?
Parties at SewLéana include the following:
- Party venue: SewLéana sewing studio, 12 W South Orange Ave, South Orange, NJ
- Base rate includes 11 guests + guest of honor (12 crafters total)
- Up to 8 additional guests can be added via this link
- Customized Digital Invitation file
- TNTP Certified Craft TEAcher + 1-2 craft assistants, depending on your party’s size
- 90 minutes of crafty fun with expert guidance from your TEAcher
- 30 minutes for cake & food
- TNTP-approved, high-quality craft supplies that result in gorgeous projects!
- Tie Dye parties also include a 100% cotton dyeable t-shirt & blank white bandana for each guest, + Wash & Care instructions and a pair of gloves for rinsing their items at home. (Client may purchase or encourage guests to bring a 3rd dyeable.)
- A take-home shopping “goodie” bag for each guest to take home their finished project + a “Crafting is Cool” sticker! (You are welcome to add additional goodies!)
- Groovy paper plates, napkins, plastic cutlery, & water for guests
- Photos of your party emailed or texted to you
Can I bring food & beverages to parties at SewLéana?
Yes! 30 minutes of your party are reserved for eating & cake! (For adult parties, you’re welcome to snack while you craft, except for tie dye.) Food is not included in our party packages at this time, but you are welcome to provide your own! Please note there is no freezer at the studio so ice cream/ice cream cakes and other frozen treats are not permitted.
The Neon Tea Party provides groovy paper plates, napkins, plastic cutlery, & water for guests as part of your party package, however you are welcome to bring your own supplies & beverages. For adult parties, you may BYOB.
Cake: We recommend Leilo’s Sweet Shop in West Orange. Feel free to request Neon Tea Party Tie Dye Cupcakes or 7 inch Tie Dye Cake (serves 15-20)!
Can I bring decorations?
Decorations are allowed, so long as they are freestanding or can be hung with painter's tape. Your party team will be happy to assist with placing decorations!
Where should I park for parties at SewLéana?
There are multiple parking lots close to the studio, including the SOPAC parking lot and the NJ Transit parking lot, which are free to park on Sundays and after 6pm.
Pricing & Discount FYIs
Please note that party pricing can change at any time, at the discretion of The Neon Tea Party. If you book a party while we are in the midst of pricing changes, The Neon Tea Party will always honor the prices you booked at (namely, the extra guest fee).
Please note that TNTP Shop discount codes do not apply to Party Bookings, unless the discount code is specifically for Parties. If a Shop discount code does go through and applies to your party booking at checkout, The Neon Tea Party reserves the right to charge client for the discounted amount. Thank you for your understanding!
Rescheduling & Cancellation Policy - Parties at SewLéana
We understand that changes can come up last-minute and we want to be as flexible as possible for you!
Headcount Changes: Your final headcount & additional guest payment are due 1 week prior to your event. Last-minute guest cancellations unfortunately cannot be refunded. If you would like to add additional guests within a week of your party, please contact your event coordinator at email@example.com to discuss. In most cases, it shouldn’t be a problem.
Rescheduling Your Party: In the event that you have to postpone your party for any reason, you may do so by notifying us no later than 48 hours prior to your party. A $100 rescheduling fee will be charged to cover losses. Your event coordinator will work with you to find a new date and will apply all bookings & party arrangements to the new date, no problem.
Canceling Your Party: Parties canceled within 72 hours of booking are subject to a full refund. Parties canceled after 72 hours and up to 1 week before the party will be refunded minus $250 to cover losses. Parties canceled less than 1 week prior will not be refunded.
Rescheduling & Cancellation Policy - Mobile Events
